Why Cairo
A Cairo day trip combines the city students think they already know with the parts they've likely never engaged with directly. Mornings might involve a hands-on service or creative activity with a local partner organization based in the city; afternoons shift to a structured leadership or creativity workshop; the day closes with group reflection on what "home" looks like from a different angle. Most students on this program already live in Cairo — which is exactly the point: it's easy to assume you know a city you've lived in your whole life without ever really seeing it. A Cairo-based day also works as a low-barrier entry point, with no overnight logistics, for schools testing the program for the first time.
